In May of 2018, Christian Louboutin’s Viva Manilacaba collection hit the stores to celebrate the richness and quality craftsmanship of the GREAT Women Asean Artisans. Captivated by Phillippine’s beauty, its “perfect combination of sparkles, mother of pearl and shells…”, the founder and designer of the world’s most coveted red-sole shoes decided to collaborate with local craftsman as a way to remember his voyage. For the window VM, we crafted ornamental hardware inspired by Manila’s elaborately-decorated tuktuk. The stainless-steel ring is built to showcase the hero embroidery bag, with circular rear-view mirrors and Louboutin iconography all around.
