Scope:

Paying homage to the Michael Fox movie with a similar name, On Pedder’s “Back to Future” looks to create the retro style of futuristic to showcase the season’s latest kicks. The displays were the 90s’ kitschy take on what the 2000s were supposed to be, with neon lights and tv screens covering every possible surface. Store fixtures were replaced with transparent shelves finished with gradient effects, while tall cabinets were lined with rows and rows of stark neon light tubes and LED scrolling marquee signages display seasonal messages. Also inspired by the work of Korean artist – Nam June Paid, old TVs were refashioned with clear acrylic facades as a play on old vs. new.
